In the Sverdlovsk district of Bishkek, police officers arrested a group of young people suspected of kidnapping. This became known from a statement by the district's Internal Affairs Department.
A resident of the Alamedin-1 microdistrict filed a report with the police, stating that on the night of March 17, around 01:00, her son K.N. was forcibly put into a car and taken away in an unknown direction.
In connection with this, a criminal case was initiated under Article 165, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning kidnapping.
During the investigation, the police detained the suspects: M.N. (born in 2006), Y.F. (born in 2006), I.R. (born in 2007), and the minor A.R. (born in 2009).
According to the investigation, the motive for the kidnapping was extortion, as the suspects claimed that K.N. owed them money.
Three of the detainees were placed in a temporary detention facility, where they were remanded in custody for two months in pre-trial detention center No. 21.
The minor A.R. was assigned a preventive measure in the form of a written undertaking not to leave.
