After all work is completed, the Municipal Enterprise "Bishkekvodokanal" will conduct trial runs and a phased connection of the booster pumping station to avoid hydraulic shocks. It is expected that by the evening of November 14, water supply will be fully restored.
On the night of November 13, the supply of drinking water was halted due to damage to the water main in the 5th microdistrict, which occurred as a result of actions by an external private company. As a result, the following areas were left without water:
- microdistricts 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8;
- "Yug-7";
- "Youth Quarter";
- the private sector below microdistricts 3 and 4;
- Abaev and Maldybaev streets (above Akhunbaev street);
- the Center for Oncology and the Republican Center for Psychiatry and Narcology.
Immediately after receiving the report of the incident, employees of the Municipal Enterprise "Bishkekvodokanal" and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Oktyabrsky district went to the site and worked all night to resolve the issue, which is still ongoing.
