The Bishkek City Hall has prepared a draft resolution regarding the "Chatyr-Köl" cinema, which has been submitted for approval to the Cabinet of Ministers. As reported by the press service of the city hall on November 8, this building, which is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Culture, is planned to be transferred to the management of the city authorities.

After the transfer of the facility is completed, its reconstruction is planned, which will be financed from the local budget. The city's architectural department has already developed a project, under which the old building will be dismantled, and a new cultural center will be constructed in its place.

The new center will include the necessary infrastructure, such as parking spaces and comfortable conditions for residents and guests of the capital.

The city hall noted that they have successful experience in implementing similar projects. For example, the sports complex "Labor Reserves" was transferred from the Ministry of Education to the city hall, after which it underwent major repairs and now operates as the sports and wellness complex "Alga".

Additionally, the small arena, which was previously under the jurisdiction of the Sports Committee, now belongs to the Bishkek City Hall. The renovation work has been completed, and the opening is scheduled for November 10.

It should be noted that a fire occurred at the cinema on November 6 at the corner of Toktonalieva and Dzhamanbaeva streets, and four fire crews were involved in extinguishing it.
