The level of smog in Bishkek has significantly decreased, says the speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh

At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, deputy Burun Amanova raised the relevant topic of gasification in residential areas of Bishkek.

She reported that the company OsOO "Gazprom" has managed to gasify only half of all residential areas. In addition, she mentioned that she has received complaints from residents of the Kadamjay district in the Batken region, who express dissatisfaction due to the cessation of gas supply.

In response, the speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh, Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu, clarified that the supply of gas in Batken is the responsibility of OJSC "Kyrgyzneftegaz," not OsOO "Gazprom."

Regarding the situation with smog, the speaker noted: "This year, Bishkek has found itself in the green zone for the first time in a long time. We do not observe the same level of smog as in previous years. This is evident to everyone. The authorities are actively working in this direction, implementing various measures to improve air quality. We should express our gratitude to them for this. It is important to focus on the positive changes. Although the problem with smog has not been completely resolved, the level of air pollution has significantly decreased compared to previous years," the speaker emphasized.
