Recently, a meat product fair was held in the Kochkor district, as reported by a Turmush correspondent.

The organization of this event was aimed at supporting vulnerable groups in the population, providing them with the opportunity to purchase meat at lower prices. The fair was conducted by the Sary-Bulak rural administration in collaboration with an organization that works with people with disabilities.

Various types of meat were offered at the fair, including meat from one horse and ten lambs (toktu), as well as goat meat.

The prices for meat products at the fair were:

horse meat — 600 soms per kg (including types such as kazy, karta, chuchuk);

lamb — 630 soms per kg;

poultry meat was also offered.

Additionally, other sellers on that day offered beef at a price of 630 soms per kg, and beef shank could be purchased for 150 soms.

To stabilize meat prices, district authorities have instructed that meat fairs be held every Saturday at the Kochkor district bus station. The rural administration is required to deliver meat products and sell them at reduced prices.

The Antimonopoly Service of the Kyrgyz Republic has set a maximum price for meat in the Kochkor district at 640 soms. According to the established rules, fines are imposed for selling meat at prices exceeding the set limit: 3,000 soms for the first violation, 16,000 soms for the second, and 27,000 soms for the third.
