At the new livestock market in the village of Chym-Korgon, located in the Kemin district of the Chui region, a 2.5-year-old bull was valued at 350,000 soms. Journalists from Turmush conducted a survey among sellers to find out the current prices in the market.

A livestock breeder from the Alamudun district named Stalbek stated that the cost of livestock remains at a consistently average level.

“As of today, prices have not undergone significant changes — they remain at an average level. For example, sheep for agricultural needs cost between 15,000 and 20,000 soms, while lambs range from 10,000 to 15,000 soms. Half-bred sheep can be purchased for 20,000 to 30,000 soms, while purebred Arashans cost over 50,000 soms. In my herd, I have 50 pregnant ewes that I offer for 25,000 soms,” he noted.

Market traders also emphasize that the cost of cattle varies depending on the breed and health condition of the animals.

“Young bulls cost between 70,000 and 130,000 soms, calves range from 50,000 to 80,000 soms. Cows with calves are valued at approximately 150,000 to 200,000 soms, while pregnant heifers are around 130,000. Yesterday, a 2.5-year-old bull of the 'Mobilyar' breed was delivered to the market, and its price was set at 350,000 soms,” the sellers report.

Entry to the livestock market in Chym-Korgon costs 50 soms for large cattle and 20 soms for small livestock.
