On February 3, 2026, the well-known lawyer and public figure Kamelidin Kushubekovich Bazarkulov passed away. This sad news was announced by the press service of the Supreme Court.

Former Supreme Court Judge Kamelidin Bazarkulov has passed away

Bazarkulov was born on March 2, 1957, in the village of Kopure-Bazar, located in the Talas region.

From 1978 to 1983, he studied at the Faculty of Law of the Kyrgyz National University, earning a degree in law.

For over forty years, his career was closely tied to law enforcement agencies, the prosecutor's office, and the judicial system of Kyrgyzstan. He started as an investigator and rose to the position of judge of the Supreme Court, also serving as the deputy chairman of the Bishkek City Court. In addition, Bazarkulov held responsible positions in government institutions, was a member of the board of directors of JSC "Severelektro," and served as an advisor and head of the legal departments of the State Material Reserves Fund under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, and was a member of the board of the Association of Judges of the country.

For his impeccable work and significant contribution to the development of the legal system of Kyrgyzstan, Kamelidin Kushubekovich received numerous state and departmental awards, including the badge "For Excellent Service in the Ministry of Internal Affairs," honorary certificates from the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as the title of "Ardaqtuu Atul" of the Osmonkulovsky rural district. He held the rank of police lieutenant colonel.

Condolences regarding his loss were expressed by colleagues and friends who mourn his passing.
