The President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, has signed a new decree that amends the previously adopted program concerning measures to improve the quality of technical inspections of vehicles. This document outlines the main objectives of the changes.
The amendments relate to the decree of December 31, 2025, No. 388, and are aimed at enhancing state control over technical inspections, increasing road safety, stabilizing prices, and improving the quality of services provided.
In particular, instead of the state enterprise "Technical Direction Center" of the Main Department for Road Safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Center for Vehicle Registration and Driver Licensing, which is subordinate to the Presidential Administration, will now operate.
The decree also replaces the mention of "Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic" with "Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic."
Furthermore, the list of institutions involved in the implementation of the decree has been supplemented by the State Center for Vehicle Registration and Driver Licensing under the Presidential Administration.
This decree will come into effect upon its official publication.
