In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, a meeting was held dedicated to the issues of using the state language in the service and advertising sectors. This information was provided by representatives of the city administration. At the meeting, which took place on February 5, 2026, in the Sverdlovsk district, leaders and officials from various organizations gathered, including public service centers, civil registry offices, major retail chains, entertainment and leisure establishments, as well as banks, markets, cafes and restaurants, hotels, sports complexes, cinemas, printing houses, and shops.
During the discussion, issues related to compliance with legislation on the state language, the use of the state language in visual materials and advertising, as well as the necessity of coordinating texts in the state language with local executive bodies were considered.
Specialists present at the event included Melis Murataliev, Chairman of the National Commission on the State Language and Language Policy, Almagul Telekmanova, Head of the Commission's Department, leading expert Ainura Sooronbaeva, Head of the Analysis and Monitoring Department Gulnur Kaparova, as well as Elvira Niyazbekova, Head of the State Language and Editing Department at the Bishkek city administration.
Participants received practical recommendations aimed at strengthening the position of the state language in the service sector.
