Veterans who served in Afghanistan, as well as representatives of the rural administration, the chairman of the village council, and the head of the elders' court participated in the event.
“We remembered with great honor the heroism of the internationalist soldiers. In memory of those who died and passed away, a memorial prayer was recited,” the message states.
As of today, there are 141 veterans of the Afghan war living in the Sokuluk district, of which 24 are residents of the rural municipality of Sary-Ozon.
