In the Kara-Suu district of the Osh region, a meeting was held dedicated to preparations for spring fieldwork, attended by Bakyt Torobaev, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry.
The meeting, organized at the initiative of the Ministry of Agriculture, was attended by representatives of the territorial divisions of the ministry, the district akim, as well as Amankan Kenzhebaev, the presidential representative in the Osh region. The heads of all rural districts and the head of the district emergency situations department also participated in the discussion.
The minister listened to reports from relevant services regarding preparations for spring work, the provision of mineral fertilizers, and the timely cleaning of irrigation channels. The heads of the rural districts presented information about the areas of irrigated land and water intake sources.
Bakyt Torobaev emphasized the importance of thorough preparation for fieldwork and the need to inform farmers about the benefits of using certified seeds.
“It is necessary to explain to farmers now what benefits they will gain from using certified seeds. Completing the cleaning of irrigation channels before the start of the season is also crucial to avoid problems in the future,” he added.
In addition, specialists noted that new agricultural machinery is arriving in the district, which positively affects the development of the agricultural sector. It was also mentioned that farmers can obtain preferential loans through "Aiyl Bank" and "Eldik Bank."
