A decision has been made in Kyrgyzstan to extend the spring break for schoolchildren.
The Ministry of Education reported that the length of the break was revised based on requests and appeals from parents.
According to the new schedule, spring break will now take place from March 2 to March 7, 2026, adding 4 additional days of rest.
Previously, it was planned that the break would last only three days — from March 6 to March 8, with the 7th and 8th falling on the weekend (Saturday and Sunday).
The Ministry also clarified that to fulfill the educational plan, these 4 days will be made up in May, which will change the end date of the school year from May 25 to May 29, 2026.
Thus, the ceremonial line-up for the "Last Bell" will now take place on May 29, 2026.
