In the city of Osh, a decision has been made to demolish the schools named after M. Lomonosov and Salizhan Zhigitov. As a result, students from one of the schools have been transferred to distance learning, as reported by the city education department.
About 2000 children study at the educational institution named after S. Zhigitov. The online format will be in effect until the beginning of the summer holidays. It is planned to return to regular classes on September 1, as the new building is expected to be completed by that time.
As for the school named after Lomonosov, which is celebrating its centenary this year, its students have been transferred to another available educational organization.
In 2026, the construction of 10 new schools is planned in Osh.
