With the approach of International Women's Day, the geoservice 2GIS has investigated the growing interest in flowers and gifts in Bishkek. The results showed that over the past two years, online purchases and flower delivery have increased more than twofold, and the number of flower shops in the country has risen by 84 percent.
The study revealed that the number of queries in the categories "Flowers" and "Flower Delivery" in Bishkek increased by 126 percent. In March 2023, about 46,000 search queries were recorded, while in 2025, this figure exceeded 104,000.
Traditionally, the most active day remains March 8, when more than 172,000 users turn to the service, which is 43 percent higher than usual figures. It is expected that the peak of queries will occur in the morning of the 8th and in the afternoon of March 7.
The growing demand for flowers is contributing to the development of the floral business. According to 2GIS data, the number of flower points in Kyrgyzstan increased from 450 in March 2023 to 831 in March 2025.
As of March 4, 2026, there are 665 flower salons and 425 delivery services registered in the country. It is worth noting that these figures account for the total number of retail outlets, as many shops and delivery services operate in one location.
Bishkek has over 400 flower salons. The high density of retail points allows residents to easily find gifts, while the variety of companies offers a wide selection for buyers.
Interest in flowers is also observed in the south of the country. In Osh, the number of search queries for flowers reached 3,000 in 2025, while previously this figure was minimal.
