
This year, Bishkek plans to install 278 new reinforced concrete supports, as reported by the Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to information from the agency, new equipment will be installed in the following districts in 2026:
- Eastern RES – 50 supports
- Western RES – 103 supports
- Northern RES – 125 supports
“The wooden supports that will be replaced were installed back in the 1960s-1970s and have long exceeded their operational lifespan. Many of them are in emergency condition,” the statement notes.
It is also mentioned that in 2025, more than 671 reinforced concrete supports were installed.
