The Cabinet of Ministers has declared April 4 as the Day of Workers in Digital Technologies, according to a decision signed by Chairman Adylbek Kasymaliev. This information was published by the government’s press service.
The purpose of adopting this document is to support the recognition of the significance and contribution of specialists in the field of digitalization and information technology to the socio-economic development of the Kyrgyz Republic.
"In recent years, the country has been actively creating a regulatory, institutional, and technological framework for digital progress, which facilitates the implementation of information and communication technologies in the work of government institutions and the development of e-governance," the statement notes.
April 4 is also celebrated as International Internet Day in many countries, symbolizing the development of the global digital space, information exchange, and network technologies. This date is associated with the improvement of digital infrastructure, increased access to information, and the integration of national digital systems into the international information community.
