At the Islamic Solidarity Games, held on November 20-21 in Saudi Arabia, the Kyrgyzstan national team in freestyle wrestling demonstrated outstanding results, taking third place in the team standings among 22 countries.
During the tournament, six sets of medals were contested in Olympic weight categories, and Kyrgyzstan participated in all weight classes. As a result, the team scored 81 points, which allowed them to be among the best.
Other wrestling disciplines also achieved success:
- the Greco-Roman wrestling team also secured third place,
- the women's wrestling team showed a fourth-place result.
Thus, Kyrgyz athletes once again demonstrated their high level of training and competitiveness on the international stage.
