Starting from November 18, competitions in wrestling as part of the Islamic Solidarity Games began in Saudi Arabia.

On the first day of the Greco-Roman wrestling tournament, four sets of medals were contested. Four wrestlers from Kyrgyzstan took to the mat and brought home three medals for the country.

The gold medal in the 77 kg weight category was won by Akjol Makhmudov, who achieved four consecutive victories, including two against Iranian athletes.

The bronze medals went to Razzak Beyshekeev (up to 67 kg) and Asan Zhanishov (up to 87 kg).

Unfortunately, Akyl Sulaymanov, competing in the 60 kg weight category, could not advance further after losing in the first match to a wrestler from Algeria.
