Four medals for Kyrgyzstan at the U23 World Wrestling Championship


The Kyrgyzstan national team has completed its performances at the U23 World Wrestling Championship, which took place in Serbia from October 20 to 27.

The team consisted of 23 athletes representing both Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling.

As a result of the tournament, athletes from Kyrgyzstan won four medals: one gold, one silver, and two bronze.

The gold medal in the 72 kg category was won by Nurzat Nurtayeva, while the silver medal in the 61 kg weight class was awarded to Ömürbek Asan uulu.

The bronze medals were earned by Bilol Sharip uulu (65 kg weight class) and Gulnura Tashtanbekova (68 kg weight class).

It is worth noting that the Greco-Roman wrestling team did not win any medals at this tournament.
