

At the U23 World Wrestling Championship taking place in Serbia, Kyrgyz athletes managed to win medals. This information was provided by the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The competitions are held in the city of Novi Sad and gather the best wrestlers under 23 years old.
One of the standout participants was Kyrgyz athlete Omurbek Asan uulu, who took second place in the 61 kg weight category in freestyle wrestling.
In the final, Omurbek faced a wrestler from the USA, who won, leaving the Kyrgyz athlete with a silver medal.
The bronze medal was won by another wrestler from Kyrgyzstan — Bilol Sharip uulu, who competed in the 65 kg weight category and began his competition from the 1/16 finals.
Bilol achieved victories over American, Georgian, and Kazakh wrestlers, making it to the semifinals. In the match for a place in the final, he lost to an opponent from Uzbekistan, but in the battle for third place, he managed to secure a premature victory with a score of 10:0 in 1 minute and 57 seconds against a wrestler from Azerbaijan.
Thus, Bilol Sharip uulu finished the championship in third place, winning the bronze medal.
