At the Islamic Solidarity Games in Saudi Arabia, Kyrgyz wrestler Asan Janishov won a bronze medal.

He competed in Greco-Roman wrestling in the 87 kg weight category.

Janishov began his performances in the round of 16, where he achieved victories over representatives from Uzbekistan and Turkey, allowing him to advance to the semifinals.

In the semifinal match, the Kyrgyz athlete faced the reigning world champion from Iran and lost in a tense battle with a score of 6:7.

In the bronze medal match, Asan Janishov met with Islam Abbasov from Azerbaijan and confidently secured victory with a result of 9:0.

Thus, Janishov finished in third place and won the bronze medal.

Additionally, in the 77 kg weight category, Akjol Mahmudov successfully reached the finals.
