Kurmanbek Nurlanbekov, the goalkeeper of the youth national team of Kyrgyzstan (U-23), shared his impressions after the match against the Saudi Arabian team.

This match, which took place on January 6 in Jeddah as part of the first round of the group stage of the Asian Cup, ended with a score of 1:0 in favor of the hosts.

The red card for Arsen Sharshenbekov in the 34th minute and Nurlanbekov's successful saved penalty in the 77th minute were key moments of the game.

After the final whistle, Nurlanbekov answered questions from the journalist of "Kyrgyz Sport TV," Adilet Kerimbekov.

- How do you assess the game?

- The game was difficult. The referee's decisions, particularly the red card, negatively impacted the course of the match. We played confidently until the red card, and unfortunately, we did not expect that moment.

- What was your goal before the match, and how did your tactics change after the player's dismissal?

- We were ready for the game and came out with the intention to win. The mood was positive. However, after the dismissal, we had to change our strategy — we started playing more cautiously, focusing on defense and counterattacks.

- How will you prepare for the upcoming matches?

- We will do everything possible to earn 6 points in the remaining games.
