"Barcelona" defeated "Real" and won the Spanish Supercup for the 16th time

In the final of the Spanish Super Cup, held in Saudi Arabia, Barcelona defeated Real Madrid, claiming the title. The match, known as "El Clásico," took place on January 11 in Jeddah and ended with a score of 3:2 in favor of the Catalan team. Rafinha scored two goals (in the 36th and 73rd minutes), and Robert Lewandowski added another at 45+4 minutes. For Real, goals were scored by Vinicius Junior (45+2) and Gonzalo Garcia (45+6).

In extra time, the captain of the team, Frenkie de Jong, was sent off with a red card.

This was the seventh tournament held in the "Final Four" format. In the semifinals, Barcelona crushed Athletic with a score of 5:0, while Real triumphed over Atletico (2:1).

Now Barcelona has 16 Spanish Super Cup titles, setting a new record, while Real has 13 victories.
