Igor Kudrenko has become the new head coach of the Kyrgyzstan U-17 national football team.

Kudrenko holds an AFC "A" license and a FIFA coaching diploma.

He previously played for the Kyrgyzstan national team and worked in the coaching staff under Alexander Krestinin. In 2017, while leading the U-23 team, he achieved victory in a tournament in Indonesia.

Kudrenko has also held positions as technical and sports director in the Kyrgyz Football Union.

At the club level, he has coached teams such as Dordoi, Bunyodkor (Tashkent), Lokomotiv (Tashkent), and Bars (Karakol).

His task now will be to prepare the team for the qualifying matches for the Asian Cup, which will take place from August 29 to September 6.

Previously, the head coach position was held by Australian Alexander Bauer, who was dismissed after two failures in the Asian Cup qualifying round.

The subsequent matches were conducted under the guidance of Anarbek Ormombekov.
