After a disappointing start in the Asian Cup qualifiers, the youth national football team of Kyrgyzstan (U-17) faced personnel changes. Following two defeats in the tournament, the head coach of the team, Austrian specialist Alexander Bauer, was dismissed.
Failure in Qualification
In the qualifying tournament, the Kyrgyzstan team played two matches, both of which ended in defeat:
Yemen - Kyrgyzstan: 2:0
Kyrgyzstan - Pakistan: 1:3
These games revealed serious deficiencies in the team's defense and organization. As a result, the team conceded five goals and failed to demonstrate adequate resistance against their opponents. After the failure against Pakistan, the question of Bauer's future was resolved immediately.
New Head Coach
The duties of the head coach will now be performed by Anarbek Dardanovich Ormombekov, who holds the position of technical director of the KFS academy. He has already begun conducting training sessions and will lead the team in the remaining events of the current year.
Reasons for the Coach's Dismissal
According to information from the KFS, the decision to dismiss Bauer was related to several factors:
insufficient progress in play, poor preparation for the qualifiers, lack of positive results, possible internal conflicts after the match with Yemen.
The football federation will begin the search for a new coach after a thorough analysis of the team's performances, considering both foreign and local candidates.
Despite the failures in qualification, the KFS intends to continue developing youth teams and strengthen the training system for young footballers across the country. This event has become an important signal for the need for reforms and a focus on the development of youth football.
