The Apparatus of the Jogorku Kenesh is preparing for the first meeting of the newly elected deputies of the 8th convocation, whose elections took place on November 30. This was reported by Alaybek Alymbaev, head of the parliament's apparatus.

According to the legislation, the Central Election Commission is required to complete the vote counting and register the elected deputies by December 14. After this, the first meeting is scheduled to take place within 15 days.

At this meeting, the chairman of the Central Election Commission will present the election results and hand out new deputy identification cards and badges. In addition, the newly elected deputies will take an oath of allegiance to the Constitution.

The first meeting will be opened by the oldest deputy, and the preparation for the event will be carried out by a working group composed of the new deputies.

Alymbaev also noted that the parliament's document circulation has been fully digitized, and the meeting hall was updated in September 2025.

On November 30, voting took place in Kyrgyzstan for the elections of the deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh, during which the country was divided into 30 electoral districts. From each district, three representatives were elected to the parliament, who received the highest number of votes, totaling 90 deputies. According to the new election system, it is necessary to adhere to the gender quota: deputies from one district cannot represent only one gender; the options allowed are 2 men and 1 woman or 2 women and 1 man.
