Water
An elder was asked what the main wealth of Kyrgyzstan is.
— The main wealth is people, land, freedom, and water.
— That’s clear about the land, people, and freedom. But why water?
Of all the waters I know, only Kyrgyz waters can be called not blue or green, but crystal clear. And only in Kyrgyzstan can you see water in all its states in one day - liquid, ice, and steam.
And only in Kyrgyzstan is there such weather - a cloud appears, thunder rumbles, lightning flashes, a downpour falls, and after the heavy rain, the sun comes out.
Can happiness be bought?
A young and enterprising man decided to acquire a new house and asks a wise man:
- Elder, I want to buy myself a new house. But how should I choose so that the purchased house becomes a happy home for my family?
- Son, you can buy a house, but you cannot buy a hearth.
You can buy a bed, but not a good sleep.
You can buy a watch, but not time.
You can buy a book, but not knowledge.
You can buy medicine, but you cannot buy health.
If you want to fill your house with happiness, build it yourself and invest love into every thing. And remember that happiness in a home depends not on its size or the wealth of its interior, but on the mood of the people who live in it.
Who can be considered balanced?
The wise man was asked:
- Who can be considered a balanced person?
- A person is the center of the strongest passions and desires.
His heart always wants love.
The mind seeks knowledge.
The stomach demands food.
The body strives for movement.
And the soul asks for peace.
A person's task is to balance all these needs and desires within themselves. The one who can achieve this is a balanced person.
What does the ringing of the bell sound like?
A boy asks his grandfather.
