In Bishkek, a meeting of the Scientific and Technical Council was held, during which the results of research work carried out in 2025 under state orders on a competitive basis with funding from the republican budget were reviewed, and the feasibility of continuing research and development in 2026 was discussed.

The meeting was chaired by Gulzat Isamatova, the Minister of Science, Higher Education, and Innovations.

In her address, she emphasized that science plays a crucial role in the development of all sectors of the economy and social sphere, and noted the strategic importance of scientific research for the sustainable socio-economic progress of the country. The Minister highlighted the need for the practical application of the results of scientific activities in the real sector of the economy, in the education system, and in public administration, as well as their potential for commercialization.

As part of the meeting, the results of the implementation of scientific projects aimed at developing priority areas in science, technology, and innovation, as well as addressing pressing socio-economic issues, were presented.

The chairs of the expert councils for five areas reported on the completed research, achieved results, the level of implementation of planned indicators, integration into production, and the practical significance of the work conducted.

Members of the Scientific and Technical Council assessed the quality of the completed research, the degree of their scientific novelty, and the possibilities for the practical application of the results obtained.

Particular attention was paid to the efficiency of budget expenditure, the interdisciplinary nature of the research, and the prospects for further implementation and commercialization of scientific developments.

Based on the results of the expert councils, two projects in the technical field and one in the social and humanitarian field, which did not meet the established requirements, were submitted for discussion at the Scientific and Technical Council.

As a result of the discussion, one project was approved, while a decision was made regarding the need for revision and resubmission of the other two projects for consideration by the expert councils.

Following the meeting, the Scientific and Technical Council noted the high level of execution of most projects implemented under state orders and recommended continuing support for promising and practice-oriented scientific directions. It was also suggested to utilize certain scientific developments in the formation of sectoral programs and strategic documents.
