In the Kyrgyz Republic, the Ministry of Science, Higher Education, and Innovations held a meeting with the heads of higher educational institutions, during which the most important aspects of improving the higher education system were discussed. The main topics included the quality of educational programs, the activation of scientific work, and measures to combat corruption.
The discussions were led by Kemeil Sadykov, Deputy Minister of Science, Higher Education, and Innovations.
During the meeting, issues related to ensuring the quality of education, scientific potential, and the formation of academic integrity as key directions of state policy were raised.
"A modern university should not only be a place for acquiring knowledge but also a model of openness, accountability, and transparency. Improving the quality of education and adhering to academic ethics is the foundation of trust in higher education institutions. It is necessary to systematically eliminate the conditions that contribute to corruption in the education sector," noted the deputy minister.
As a result of the discussions, recommendations were issued for educational institutions.
Higher education institutions were encouraged to intensify efforts to improve educational programs, develop scientific activities, and commercialize the results obtained.
An important aspect was the implementation of effective anti-corruption measures, strict adherence to the principles of academic integrity, and ensuring transparency in the operations of educational institutions.
Additionally, attention was drawn to the necessity of personal responsibility of university leaders in the fight against corruption and the development of partnership projects aimed at strengthening the scientific and innovative potential of the country.
