President Sadyr Japarov spoke about the ongoing reforms in the education system of Kyrgyzstan at the ceremony for awarding the Presidential Scholarship to students of higher educational institutions in the country.
He noted: “In our state, we strive to ensure that the education system meets global standards. Key attention is paid to improving the quality of education in universities. Our main task is to create conditions not only for acquiring knowledge but also for forming specialists capable of competing on the international stage. Therefore, we actively support scientific research in universities and encourage the creative and social activity of youth.”
Furthermore, this year several universities have been granted special status, allowing them to update their material and technical base. The provision of academic and financial autonomy contributes to a closer integration of scientific research with industry, and such educational institutions are held to high standards regarding the practical application of knowledge.
“In such conditions, you, dear students, must become the driving force behind the development of our country, demonstrating flexibility of thought and readiness to accept the challenges of the times!” the president emphasized.
