In recent years, particularly during the presidency of Sadyr Japarov, there has been a significant increase in funding for the road transport sector from the state budget. Major infrastructure projects are being implemented across the country.
According to the Ministry of Transport and Communications, over the past five years, the volume of asphalt paving of roads has significantly increased. In particular, the following indicators were achieved in the subsequent years:
- 2021 — 175 km;
- 2022 — 488.4 km;
- 2023 — 673.8 km;
- 2024 — 802 km;
- 2025 — 1545 km.
As noted by the department, such high results in the road transport sector are achieved, among other things, due to the constant strengthening of the material and technical base. The volume of purchased machinery increases every year and is distributed across the regions of the country.
