The school director, Kanchaiym Tokojeva, shared with the publication Turmush that the construction work on the building is nearing completion and is about 80% finished.
According to her, until now, classes were held in an old building that was declared emergency by the Ministry of Emergency Situations back in 2007. In the absence of an alternative facility, the educational process continued. Only in 2015, when the threat became serious, the school was forced to relocate to the city House of Culture, where narrow rooms were adapted for lessons.
She also added that the project for the new building was developed in July of this year, after which construction began.
The total cost of the project is 43,670,582 soms, and the winning tender company "Suu-Kurulush" proposed a sum of 37,891,480 soms. Currently, 80% of the work has already been completed.
This children's music school was founded in 1959, and at present, 118 students are studying under the guidance of 10 teachers.
