The Chernyakhovsky Secondary School, where education is conducted in Kyrgyz and Russian, is located in the rural area of Tört-Gül. The building was constructed in 1937 and was put into operation as a school in 1952, originally designed for 250–300 students. Currently, 1002 children are enrolled here. In the one-story building, which is over 50 years old, due to a lack of classrooms, 40 ninth-grade students have to study in the gym.
As reported by the school principal Aigul Dzhurabekova, despite the conditions, the educational process shows good results: over the past two years, winners of the "Teacher of the Year" competition have been recognized, participating at the regional and national levels. "The building is old, and the lack of classrooms is felt. Every year we carry out repairs with the help of local authorities. However, the number of students is growing, and there are not enough classrooms. Therefore, 40 students study in the gym. Physical education classes take place outdoors on the sports ground during warm weather, and in winter — in classrooms, where chess, checkers, and toguz korgool classes are also held. We provide explanations for parents at every meeting, but some still raise this issue. Currently, the construction of a new school for 525 students is planned — all necessary documents have already been prepared and submitted," the principal explained.
