This information was presented at the extraordinary XIX session of the city council of deputies of the X convocation, which took place on November 20.
The deputies unanimously supported the initiative to transfer this building, which was on the municipality's balance sheet, for the needs of the educational institution.
Present at the session were the chairman of the city council Nurtilek Bolotov, the first deputy mayor Kubanychbek Imanaliev, as well as leaders of local organizations and representatives of territorial divisions.
“After the relocation of the presidential representative's office to a new administrative building, the premises at 11 Erkindik Street were transferred to the city's balance. Together with specialists from the Ministry of Education, we inspected this building and concluded that it could be used as a school. We made a proposal for consideration by the city council, and the deputies supported it. Now our construction specialists will develop a budget, and we will begin work on the transformation. We plan to complete everything by the beginning of the 2026 academic year. It has not yet been determined which school the new branch will be subordinated to,” K. Imanaliev reported.
He also noted that schools No. 1 named after M. Babkin and No. 14 named after S. Davletov are experiencing high enrollment, which creates a need for additional educational facilities.
Currently, there are 29 municipal schools operating in Manas, with 38,847 students enrolled.
The city authorities added that there is a need to build four more schools, with work planned to begin in 2026.
The building at 11 Erkindik Street, which was previously used by the office of the presidential representative, was constructed in 1972. At the beginning of its history, it housed the city party committee. After Kyrgyzstan gained independence, the regional council was located in this building, and for about 35 years, regional authorities worked here.
