As noted by Zhakyp Mamazhanov, head of the district education department, classes in these buildings began in September of this year.
“With the consent of the village administration, we adapted the mosque building for classrooms and transferred part of the students there. The primary classes are operating in the building of the medical point. The project for the new school building has been completed and is already under review. The Capital Construction Department has announced a tender, and after its completion, construction of a new school for 150 students will begin,” he said.
Ulmasbek Kadyrov, head of the Dobo-Korgon village administration, added that the school building was constructed back in 1968.
“The roof of the school was leaking, and for the safety of the children, we had to relocate them. In 2017, the Ministry of Emergency Situations confirmed that the school was in an emergency state and could not be used for education. The facility was included in the title list for funding from the republican budget. Due to the lack of available land, it was impossible to build a new school on another site, so the building is subject to demolition and reconstruction. The project began to be developed in 2024,” he explained.
Since September, students have been transferred to a school in a neighboring village located 2.5–3 km away. This created inconveniences, so at the request of the residents, additional classes were organized in three-room premises of the medical point and the mosque. A heating system was installed for them, and the necessary conditions were created at the expense of the village administration,” Kadyrov added.
According to available data, the school is located in the village of Zhańy-Abad, where 340 students are enrolled. The village has about 1,900 residents, and the number of residential houses is around 300.
