
Today in Bishkek, a meeting took place with the participation of Deputy Foreign Minister Meder Abakirov and the Ambassador of Georgia to Kyrgyzstan Levan Diasamidze. This meeting was timed to the presentation of copies of credentials. The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that Abakirov expressed joy over the appointment of the new ambassador and noted that his experience would contribute to strengthening bilateral relations.
The parties discussed issues related to political cooperation, emphasizing the traditionally friendly nature of Kyrgyz-Georgian relations and the importance of activating dialogue at high levels. During the conversation, the focus was on the exchange of official visits and interaction within international organizations.
In the area of trade and economic cooperation, the participants of the meeting noted the existing potential for expanding business ties, including the possibility of holding a meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission. Issues of inter-parliamentary interaction and cooperation in the fields of democracy and parliamentary diplomacy were also discussed.
The initiative to resume direct air communication between Bishkek and Tbilisi was discussed separately, as this could contribute to the development of trade, tourism, and cultural-humanitarian ties.
