The President signed the law on the FOMS budget with a forecast until 2028

President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov has signed a new law "On the Budget of the Mandatory Health Insurance Fund under the Ministry of Health for the year 2026 and the planned period of 2027-2028." This law was adopted by the Jogorku Kenesh on December 25, 2024.
The main task of this law is to approve the key parameters of income and expenditure of the Mandatory Health Insurance Fund budget for 2026, as well as to determine the forecast indicators for 2027 and 2028.
According to the new budget, the income and expenditure of the Mandatory Health Insurance Fund for 2026 will amount to 10,737,596.0 thousand soms each. The forecasts for 2027 amount to 11,310,222.3 thousand soms, and for 2028 — 12,054,547.2 thousand soms.
The main sources of funding for the Mandatory Health Insurance Fund budget for 2026 include allocations from the republican budget and funds from insurance contributions received from the Social Fund budget. Thus, the allocations from the republican budget are set at 2,057,870.4 thousand soms, while the funds from insurance contributions for mandatory health insurance will amount to 6,503,418.2 thousand soms.

In addition, the volume of cash turnover in the Mandatory Health Insurance Fund budget for 2026 will be 541,951.5 thousand soms. The law will come into effect on January 1, 2026.
