The processing of fruits and vegetables in the Kyrgyz Republic increased to 2.24 billion soms by the end of 2025.
Compared to 2024, when this indicator was at the level of 1 billion 306.35 million soms, there is an increase of almost 1.7 times. The physical volume index for the period from January to December 2025 was 104.8%, indicating a moderate increase in production in real terms.
However, a monthly breakdown shows a decline. In December 2025, the volume of processing and preserving vegetables and fruits amounted to 133.83 million soms, whereas in December 2024 it reached 105.31 million soms. The physical volume index in December 2025 was 56.6%, indicating a significant reduction in production compared to the previous month.
Thus, despite significant annual growth, the fruit and vegetable processing sector demonstrates unstable dynamics at the end of the year. This may be related to seasonal factors, logistics issues, and a decrease in raw material volumes.
