The State Committee for National Security detained the head of the water management of the Issyk-Kul region for corruption
According to the information, O.S.M., while serving as the head of the water management department of the Ak-Suu district from 2018 to 2025, used his official powers for personal gain by leasing a service excavator to third parties.
At the same time, the amount of 625,000 soms received from the lease did not go into the department's account but was embezzled by O.S.M. himself, as stated in the official report.
Furthermore, due to frequent and illegal use of the excavator, the equipment became unfit for operation. According to expert assessments, the market value of this excavator is estimated at 800,000 soms.
According to GKNB, the total damage caused to the state by O.S.M. is estimated at 1,425,000 soms. He is currently in custody in the pre-trial detention center in the city of Karakol, and investigative actions are ongoing.
