President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, during a meeting at the State Center for Vehicle Registration and Driver Licensing, recalled his school years in DOSAAF, when he was preparing to obtain his driver's license.
“In Soviet times, I dedicated six months to training in order to get licenses for categories 'B' and 'C'. Our classes were held daily. The educational process was much deeper than in modern private driving schools. We didn't just study from posters; we analyzed the details of mechanisms. The teaching was of a high level: we were not only tested on theoretical knowledge but also required to demonstrate each part, explaining how it works,” the president noted.
