President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov has signed a new decree that amends the previously effective decree on the structure and composition of the Cabinet of Ministers. These changes were made based on Articles 70 and 71 of the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as the second part of Article 4 of the constitutional Law "On the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic."
According to the new decree, the following changes are made to the document signed on October 12, 2021, under number 425:
1. In the first paragraph:
- The sixth paragraph is revised and will now read: "– Chairman of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic;".
- A new twenty-seventh paragraph is introduced with the following content: "– State Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic.".
2. The Border Service, which was previously part of the State Committee for National Security, is transformed into a separate State Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic.
3. The Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic is instructed to:
- Bring its decisions in line with the new decree;
- Take additional measures arising from the provisions of this decree.
The decree comes into force from the moment of its official publication.
