President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov issued a decree that was adopted in accordance with the decision of the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek dated June 3, 2025. The decree is based on parts 1, 2, and 4 of Article 27 of the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On State Awards, Honorary Titles, and State Prizes of the Kyrgyz Republic," as well as Article 71 of the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to the decree, Almazbek Sharshenovich Atambayev is stripped of the following state awards of the Kyrgyz Republic:
1) the highest distinction "Hero of the Kyrgyz Republic";
2) the Order of "Manas" II degree;
3) the Order of "Danaker";
4) the medal "Dank".
In addition, the decree annuls:
1) The Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic "On awarding the medal 'Dank' to Atambayev A.Sh." dated April 22, 1999, No. 106;
2) The Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic "On awarding the Order 'Danaker' to Atambayev A.Sh." dated November 27, 2007, No. 518;
3) the third paragraph of the Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic "On awarding state awards to state and public figures of the republic" dated November 30, 2011, No. 311;
4) The Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic "On awarding the highest distinction 'Hero of the Kyrgyz Republic' to A.Sh. Atambayev" dated November 27, 2017, No. 1.
The Judicial Enforcement Service under the General Prosecutor's Office of the Kyrgyz Republic must take measures to seize the state awards and relevant documents mentioned in paragraph 1 for subsequent transfer to the fund of state awards.
This decree comes into force from the moment of its signing.
