The President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, has issued a decree that comes into effect upon signing. This document was prepared in execution of the decision of the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek dated June 3, 2025, and is based on Articles 1, 2, and 4 of Part 27 of the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On State Awards, Honorary Titles, and State Prizes of the Kyrgyz Republic," as well as Article 71 of the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to the decree, Almazbek Sharshenovich Atambayev is stripped of the following state awards:
the highest distinction "Hero of the Kyrgyz Republic";
the Order of "Manas" II degree;
the Order of "Danaker";
the medal "Dank".
Additionally, the following documents are annulled by the decree:
The decree on awarding the medal "Dank" to Atambayev A.Sh. dated April 22, 1999, No. 106;
The decree on awarding the Order of "Danaker" to Atambayev A.Sh. dated November 27, 2007, No. 518;
The third paragraph of the decree on awarding state and public figures dated November 30, 2011, No. 311;
The decree on conferring the highest distinction "Hero of the Kyrgyz Republic" to A.Sh. Atambayev dated November 27, 2017, No. 1.
The Judicial Enforcement Service under the General Prosecutor's Office of the Kyrgyz Republic is obliged to take measures to seize the aforementioned awards and corresponding documents for their subsequent transfer to the state awards fund.
