A corruption scheme related to the illegal enrollment of cadets in driving schools has been uncovered in the Batken region.
Thus, a mechanism was created that allowed citizens, who lacked knowledge of traffic rules and driving skills, to formally "study" and then arrive in Kyrgyzstan to obtain a certificate of course completion. With the support of corrupt officials, they passed exams and received driver's licenses, as reported by the State National Security Committee (GKNB).
During authorized searches conducted as part of the criminal case, evidence of systematic enrollment of cadets in private driving schools while being abroad was collected.
Currently, operational and investigative activities are ongoing to identify and hold accountable other participants in this corruption scheme, as well as to annul driver's licenses obtained illegally.
