



On February 11, 2026, a meeting took place in Berlin between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, Zheenbek Kulubaev, and the Federal President of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier. The meeting was organized to discuss foreign policy issues concerning Central Asian countries. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Kulubaev conveyed greetings and best wishes from the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, to Steinmeier.
During the dialogue, the Kyrgyz minister noted that high-level visits that took place in 2023 and 2024 significantly contributed to the expansion of bilateral relations between Kyrgyzstan and Germany. He emphasized Kyrgyzstan's interest in deepening cooperation with Germany in areas such as trade, economy, and cultural ties.
Kulubaev also pointed out that thanks to the joint political will and close interaction between the leaders of Central Asia, significant progress has been made in strengthening cooperation and sustainable development in the region in recent years, creating favorable conditions for further dialogue between Central Asia and Germany.
President Steinmeier, in turn, highly appreciated the efforts to ensure stability and security in Central Asia. He noted the great potential of the region in the fields of energy, trade, and transportation, confirming Germany's intention to continue cooperation with Central Asian countries. The President also addressed the issue of climate change, recalling his visit to Kyrgyzstan and mentioning the melting of glaciers.
