She noted that the country almost constantly imports wheat from abroad, which leads to an inability to secure domestic flour production.
In response, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture Bakyt Torobaev reported that a new variety of wheat had been imported, which is characterized by high yields.
According to him, the characteristics of the terrain play a significant role in the yield of various seeds.
Torobaev cited the example of the wheat seeds "Pobeda 75," which showed a yield of 60 quintals in the Ak-Suu district of the Issyk-Kul region, while in Talas, the same seeds yielded only 25 quintals.
“In this regard, we recommend that the Ak-Suu district use the wheat variety 'Pobeda 75' for planting,” he added.
On that day, information from the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic was also discussed regarding preparations for spring field and economic activities in 2026.
