Important infrastructure initiatives were discussed in Kyrgyzstan



President Sadyr Japarov held a meeting with Zou Jiayi, the head of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, during which the construction of the Kambar-Ata-1 hydroelectric power station and the railway connecting China, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan were discussed. This information was provided by the president's press service.


During the meeting, Japarov emphasized that industrialization is one of the key directions of state policy. He noted the need for projects that provide high added value, as well as for the modernization of the industrial sector and the development of processing. One of the pressing tasks remains addressing the issue of electricity shortages, which makes the construction of the Kambar-Ata-1 hydroelectric power station and the renewal of energy infrastructure particularly important.


In addition, the participants discussed issues related to transport logistics and road construction.


Zou Jiayi emphasized that Kyrgyzstan, as one of the founding countries of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, is a strategic partner of this institution. She also confirmed the AIIB's commitment to continue financing current projects and explore new proposals.
