Aida Aitmambetova, a choreography teacher at this educational institution, shared her impressions with a Turmush correspondent about the students' achievements and preparations for international competitions.
— Tell us about your recent successes.
— We recently participated in an international competition and won an honorable second place with an Indian dance, which is a significant achievement for us. We have a trip planned to Italy in March. Currently, we are discussing the financial aspects with the parents. We also received an invitation to a festival in Azerbaijan, which will take place in May. These events are organized by international organizations and gather the best groups from around the world. For example, 23 countries participated in the previous competition, and 32 participants are expected at the upcoming one in India.
— What are the conditions for participating in such competitions?
— To participate in international festivals, it is necessary to have an invitation, which is only granted to those groups that have already achieved prize-winning places. Each of our participations is the result of significant efforts. Unfortunately, the funding for the trip to Italy has not yet been resolved, but we are hopeful for participation in Azerbaijan.
— Do you have sponsors or supporters?
— Yes, we are fortunate that support is starting to come in. For example, the mother of our student Tunuk Bazarkulova, Gulanda eja, agreed to become a sponsor and sew costumes for six girls. We hope for help from other kind people as well.
— What impressions do children have after trips abroad?
— Children who have traveled abroad completely change their perception of the world. Each nation has its unique culture, traditions, and dances. By observing performances from groups in other countries, they gain unforgettable experiences. Upon returning, they often say, “If we did it that way, our country would develop faster.” The difference in perception between those who have traveled abroad and those who have not is indeed noticeable.
— How many students are currently in your group?
— Currently, there are 36 students in our group aged 6 to 15 years. Upon completion of their studies, they receive a certificate of secondary specialized education (5-year course). We have already graduated 13 groups. It is a true pride for me to see my former students return and start working with me as colleagues. There is nothing more joyful for a teacher.
— What moment on the international stage is the most exciting for you?
— When the announcement is made at international competitions: “Kyrgyzstan,” and we go on stage with the flag raised — it is impossible to express in words. In those moments, we are overwhelmed with excitement, and some girls cannot hold back their tears. It is a symbol of our love for our homeland and sincere pride for our people.
