According to the ministry's data, the gross grape harvest amounted to 5990.1 tons, which is 1% more than in 2024. The average yield was 20.5 centners per hectare.
As part of the support for viticulture, quarantine phytosanitary inspections were conducted for seedlings imported from Serbia from January to May 2025. Virus-free varieties for both technical and table purposes were selected.
“Various initiatives for the development of viticulture are also being implemented in the Leilek district of the Batken region. In the rural area of Jany-Jer, local cooperatives are engaged in the cultivation of seedlings of the 'avatar' and 'kishmish' varieties. In addition, the establishment of a new nursery specializing in the production of seedlings of the 'avatar', 'munkas finger', and 'kishmish' varieties is planned,” the message notes.
