This sector holds the highest share in the total industrial production, accounting for 79.7%. The physical volume index increased by 9.8% compared to the previous year, reaching 109.8%.
As reported by the Ministry of Economy, significant growth was achieved due to a 1.7-fold increase in the production of pharmaceutical products. These results were made possible by the implementation of state support measures, an import substitution policy, as well as the modernization of the sector and the phased launch of new production capacities.
Additionally, the production of medicines was launched in Bishkek as part of the "100 Industrial Enterprises - 2025" project. Existing manufacturers also expanded their activities, and a large investment project was implemented in Kara-Balta aimed at creating a modern pharmaceutical complex with a complete production and technological cycle, which will produce socially significant medicines.
